The whole film will have a very surreal and meta feeling to it. The props and set will be reminiscent of
high school plays. Cutout waves moving in the back and foreground and a stuffed looking seagull
flapping through the air and perched on the side of the boat, the use of whip pans, strange and
hyperbolic sounds, and a sea chanty sung by women to divert expectation from the traditional
Fisherman Friend’s advertisements.

The project required crafting a Visual that mimicked the hand-made theatre stage using hand-crafted props and a very simple childish look. We stuck with yellow and Blue colour palette as a reference to see and sun.
The project required crafting a lighting scheme that mimicked the submerged and mystical qualities of underwater scenes using blue and green light filters to achieve an aquatic hue.
We incorporated moving lights with wave-like effects and utilized a haze machine to soften and diffuse the light, emulating the ocean’s natural luminescence.
