Angel in Wonderland
a short film inspired by Alice in Wonderland, created with the aim of empowering women. It tells the story of a character who starts as naive and uncertain but grows into a strong, confident woman by the end. The narrative symbolizes personal growth and resilience, culminating in her finally catching the rabbit—a metaphor for achieving her goals and taking control of her destiny.
A girl gets called into the forest, and while she starts to explore she is being led through the growing journey.
I use a soft green, warm palette that create an immersive atmosphere that draws the viewer in, almost as if the forest itself is sinking you deeper into its mysterious embrace. This visual approach enhances the dreamlike quality of the story while grounding it in a natural and relatable setting.
The project required crafting a lighting scheme that mimicked the submerged and mystical qualities of underwater scenes using blue and green light filters to achieve an aquatic hue.
We incorporated moving lights with wave-like effects and utilized a haze machine to soften and diffuse the light, emulating the ocean’s natural luminescence.
